St Iago Cuba August 27th 1804

Dear Polly,

I have shipped by Capt Daniel Rops(?) ? of Salem in the Brig Betsy two hundred dollars and one Bill drawn on Baltimore for one hundred all of which I have consigned to Capt Bessom(?) and have directed him to pay the same to you. If the bill cannot be sold at ? send it on to Baltimore and order it in flower if it will pay. The dollars sell at the best advantage. I believe I shall return to Charleston in the course of a month so you may write me there and inform me what has bin don with upton and if ? this safe. I remain Dear Polly yours
