Charleston December 22 1804

Dear Polly

This will be handed you by Mr Anderson mate of Capt Allin that I shipped some ? on board which you must have had the receipt off before this As Capt Allin has not sailed as sune(sic) as he expected. I now have to inform you that I shall proceed for St Thomas wind and weather permitting tomorrow and back for this place Mr Anderson has promised me he will deliver this himself and he will be able to inform you of my business here at any rate I shall refer you to him for information I received no letter by ? from Marblehead I am well and hope you and your children are also
