The letter below was addressed to "Capt. Christopher Grant, Schooner Eagle". It is dated March 30, 1794. The letter informs Capt. Grant that an Embargo has been enacted by the Congress of the United States and he can no longer sail. I have created a transcript of the letter which can be seen here.
